Recording the temperature at the winding head is crucial for the operational safety of ever larger and more powerful systems. Excessive heating can destroy the insulation, resulting in serious damage. The maximum winding temperature, specified by the thermal resistance of the insulating materials, must not be exceeded. Our specially assembled sensors offer the best possible protection and ensure that insulating sleeves, insulating resins and slot insulation are not damaged.

Description: Cable sensors with heat-shrink tubing insulation are ideal for temperature measurements of all kinds and are mainly used as winding head sensors for thermal motor protection. Depending on the application and temperature requirements, our sensors are insulated once or twice with shrink tubing made of Kynar, Kynarflex, FEP or PTFE. The connection cables are available in PFA single strands, Teflon hose lines or Teflon flat ribbon hose lines and can be configured in 2 / 3 or 4-wire circuits. The cable cross-section ranges from AWG20 to AWG30 and the cable length is freely selectable. Waterproof versions with protection class IP 66 and high-voltage versions up to 8 kV (special versions even up to 20 kV) are possible.
