Platinum measuring resistors
Platinum measuring resistors are based on a temperature-dependent platinum resistor, whose characteristic curve and permissible tolerance are defined in the international standard DIN EN IEC 60751. In thin-film form, they combine the favorable properties of a platinum temperature sensor with the advantages of mass production. As a result, they are characterized not only by standardization and universal interchangeability but also by high measurement accuracy, excellent long-term stability, and good reproducibility of their electrical properties. Platinum chip temperature sensors therefore represent a genuine alternative to semiconductor-based thermistors, even in terms of price.
