Fuse resistors
Our wirewound or fuse resistors are used to limit
inrush currents and to provide overload protection. When combined with a temperature fuse connected in series, these components can also provide protection against overheating. The trip behavior of the combination of a wire resistor and a thermal fuse is significantly improved. The trip time and trip temperature are reduced, thereby preventing damage to the printed circuit board caused by high temperatures. During normal operation, the combination behaves like a conventional wire resistor, but without its drawbacks. The combination can respond quickly and reliably to small, medium, and large fault currents and shut down the circuit.
