idea Thermal CutOff (iTCO)
The idea Thermal CutOff (iTCO) is a fuse that uses low-melting-point alloys as an electrical connection point in the main circuit, along with a built-in heater for the control circuit, to achieve a controlled melting function. The idea Thermal CutOff (iTCO) consists primarily of a thermocouple, electrodes, flux resin, heating wire, a Thermo-Link alloy, and lead wires, all sealed within plastic or ceramic housings.
The idea Thermal CutOff (iTCO) is mainly used to protect the safety of renewable energies and as secondary protection for charging and discharging circuits. It mainly uses two electrodes connected to the thermocouple of the melting elements as electrical connections, with passive temperature-sensing melting functions. At the same time, the built-in heating wire with independent over-temperature protection heats the thermocouple, provides sufficient heat to the fuse, disconnects the main circuit and disconnects the control circuit to achieve self-protection.
The idea Thermal CutOff (iTCO) covers rated currents from 20 to 270 A, rated voltages from 80 to 500 VDC and a rated operating temperature of 136 to 150 °C, with UL, cUL and TUV approvals and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
