The Pt100 TO92 housing is a Pt-RTD (platinum resistance thermometer) in an industry-standard TO housing and is characterized by a linear resistance-temperature characteristic (according to IEC 60751), interchangeability, high long-term stability and accuracy. It offers an optimum price-performance ratio for high-volume applications, e.g. in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) technology and industrial appliances.

This Alpha Therm sensor is the alternative to the discontinued (HERAEUS) YAGEO Nexensos 32209210 & 32209215. Quality & experience MADE IN GERMANY.

Properties

  • Platinum temperature sensor in TO92 format
  • Outstanding long-term stability
  • High accuracy
  • High resistance to vibrations and shocks
  • Optimized for soldering processes

Temperature range of the tolerance class

  • Tolerance class F 0.3 (B): -50 °C to +150 °C

The specified tolerance classes refer to continuous operation.

Temperature coefficient

  • TCR = 3850 ppm/K

Response time

  • water (v = 0.4 m/s):
    • t0.5 = 0.7 s
    • t0.9 = 2 s
  • air (v = 2 m/s):
    • t0.5 = 8 s
    • t0.9 = 26 s

Measuring current

  • Pt100 Ω: 0.3 to 1 mA
  • Pt1000 Ω: 0.1 to 0.3 mA

(self-heating must be taken into account)

Long-term stability

The drift of the resistance value at 0 °C after storage for 1000 hours in air at the specified upper temperature limit does not exceed the tolerance value of the specified tolerance class in accordance with IEC 60751. Typical drift of R(0 °C) is 0.06 % after 1000 hours at +150 °C.

Self-heating

  • Pt 100: 0.4 K/mW at 0 °C
  • Pt 1000: 0.2 K/mW at 0 °C

Solder connection

  • Material: Cu alloy with Sn coating
  • Connection technology: Soft soldering

Packaging

  • Plastic bag
  • Alternative packaging forms on request

Shelf life

  • 9 months (in original packaging). Storage in a nitrogen atmosphere is recommended.
