These alloys melt when a specific tripping temperature is reached to enable a controlled interruption of the circuit. The DC-ATCO consists of various components, including a housing, the low-melting alloys (thermal element), electrodes and flux resin.<\/p>\n
The DC-ATCO of the ALP series is widely used for protection against overheating in electrical appliances and electric vehicles. Typically, the low-melting alloys (thermal element) are connected in series between two electrode pins. When the predetermined release temperature is reached, the alloys melt and quickly retract to the ends of the two pins, supported by the flux resin. This effectively interrupts the circuit.<\/p>\n
